Agricultural centre situated on a hill to the south-east of Tortona. Carezzano stretches over the hillsides of the valleys between Rio Cornigliasca and Rio Castellania streams. This village is made up of two centres: Carezzano Maggiore and Carezzano Superiore, the last one in a very beautiful panoramic location. For the entire medieval period and until the eighteenth century it was part of the Bishopric. In 1408 Carezzano Maggiore and Carezzano Minore were given as a fief to the Rampini family from Sant’Alosio.
