Exhibition of Russian icons ( XVIII-XIX).
The exhibited icons, dated within the XVIII and XIX century,will allow the visitors to approach to this particular form of sacred art, which still has a great charm and deserves to be better known.
It is divided in different sections – The Mother of God, The Christ, Prophets and Saints, The Great Celebrations,Menologies- the exhibition keeps an educational character and allows to read subjects and pictures from both a biblical and a cultural point of view.
It is also possible to admire the interpretation by paintings of the last book of the “New Testament” of Giovanni, translated into images by Giuseppe Papetti.
